Throughout the week, attend daily scheduled keeper chats, which are a great way to learn about the unique adaptations of our animals and how our staff cares for them. And buckle in for a ride in our virtual reality experience to be transported to the jungles and savannas of Africa! (Additional fee applies.)
Saturday, April 19: Teddy Bear Check-Up
Bring your favorite stuffed animal to Teddy Bear Check-Up day! As kids take their furry friends to check-up stations around the Zoo, they'll learn more about veterinary care and receive certificates of good health for their teddy bears.
Tuesday, April 22: Party for the Planet
You’re invited to our Party for the Planet, which promises an Earth Day celebration like no other! Learn about the importance of sustainable practices and ways you can conserve wildlife and habitats while exploring the Zoo.
Wednesday, April 23: Storytime at the Zoo
Special guest Big Joe the Storyteller will be appearing for storytelling performances at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the Animal Discovery Center.
Thursday, April 24: Barnyard Day
Get up close with Southdown sheep, Nigerian dwarf goats and Nubian goats as the Petting Zoo opens for the season! Meet our barnyard residents and learn more about them from our staff. Plus, don’t miss a sheep-shearing demonstration at 10:00 a.m. for a look at barnyard care!
Friday, April 25: Celebrate World Flamingo Day
Celebrate World Flamingo Day with a stroll through the Caribbean Coast aviary and meet Stone Zoo’s vibrant flamingo flock! Get creative with a fun flamingo craft and learn more about these graceful birds at our education station.
