The annual tree lighting on the North Reading Common will take place on Sunday, December 1st from 2:00 to 4:30.
This free event, hosted by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce, is a long-time holiday favorite drawing over a thousand people from the community.
We've added some new activities this year, along with some of the previous favorites:
- Trolley rides
- Petting zoo
- Hayrides
- Corn hole boards
- Free hot chocolate
- Scavenger hunt (with prizes)
- Photos with Santa at Reading Cooperative Bank
- Stilt Walker, face painting, and balloon animals entertainment
- Tours of the Putnam House
- Live performances from local dance, stage and martial arts studios
- DJ music all afternoon until Santa turns on the lights
- And more!
