Dear Macaroni Kid Wakefield Family,
Some of you may know me already, but for those of you who do not, my name is Cheryl Lachendro and I am your new Macaroni Kid publisher! I know I have very big shoes to fill, following Eileen, your dedicated publisher for the past 5 and 1/2 years. I know I am up to the challenge!
Having lived in Wakefield for 8 years, this area of Massachusetts is near and dear to my heart! I am currently living in Georgetown, MA with my wonderfully supportive husband Kevin, 9-year-old son Kyle and my 25-year-old daughter Caroline. (When she is home doing laundry because she doesn't have a washer in her apartment.)
I spent close to 20 years teaching elementary school before becoming a "Stay at Home Mom". Now I am volunteering my time on the Georgetown School Committee, as a PTA board member, and room parent.
I joined the Macaroni Kid Family in 2018, when I took over as publisher of Macaroni Kid Burlington, covering the towns of Burlington, Wilmington, Winchester, and Woburn. When the opportunity arose to take over Macaroni Kid Wakefield, I was thrilled!
As a family, we love to travel and be out and about whenever we can. I am so excited to be able to bring my love for researching family fun activities, passion for kids, and enthusiasm for sharing ideas through Macaroni Kid.
I not only aim to bring you the most comprehensive family calendar in the area, but Macaroni Kid Wakefield will provide you with a variety of articles, columns, giveaways & more, to help you navigate this crazy thing we call parenting.
