Story Times for the Lucius Beebe Library in Wakefield, MA
Lapsit Story Times- Ages 3-12 months:
The library offers Story Time on a drop-in basis. Lapsit Story Time can accommodate twenty children. Arrive early at the Youth Desk with your child and library card so you can fill out a ticket for admission. You and your baby will enjoy stories, songs, finger plays, nursery rhymes, and interaction with other babies. Please make arrangements for older children so you and your baby can enjoy this special time together.
Winter I, Nov. 12-Dec. 17: Wednesdays at 11:00 and Thursdays at 9:30 (no meetings on Wednesday, November 11, Veteran’s Day or Thursday, November 26, Thanksgiving)
Winter II, Jan. 5-Feb. 10: Tuesdays at 9:30 and Wednesdays at 11:00
Spring, March 9-April 14: Wednesdays at 11:00 and Thursdays at 9:30
Toddler Story Times- Ages 1&2:
The library offers Story Time on a drop-in basis. Toddler Story Time can accommodate thirty children. Arrive early at the Youth Desk with your child and library card so you can fill out a ticket for admission. Children will learn songs, nursery rhymes and finger plays, play movement games, and listen to simple stories. Please plan to stay with your child during Story Time, as the adult-child interaction is an important component of the experience.
Winter I, Nov. 10–Dec. 18: Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30 and 11:00
Winter II, Jan. 7-Feb. 12: Thursdays and Fridays at 9:30 and 11:00
Spring, Mar. 8-Apr. 15: Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30 and 11:00
Preschool Story Times- Ages 3-5 years old:
The library offers Story Time on a drop-in basis. Preschool Story Time can accommodate fifteen children. Arrive early at the Youth Desk with your child and library card so you can fill out a ticket for admission. Children will enjoy stories, songs, finger plays, physical movement games, and a simple craft. Parents will need to help with the craft during story time and must remain in the Program Room with their children.
